The EDM Council announced the initial list of firms who have joined the DCAM Authorized Partner Network. The partners include: Capgemini Consulting, Citisoft Inc., Cognizant, Deloitte Consulting LLP, Element22, Epsilon, Ernst & Young Global Limited, First San Francisco Partners, GFT Technologies, Hatstand, Kingland Systems Corporation, Nomura Research Institute Ltd., Ortecha Ltd., PwC, Sapient Global Markets, Tech Mahindra and Target State Technology Consulting.

The DCAM Authorized Partner Network consists of firms that have executed license agreements with the EDM Council to use the Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) to assess the current state of programs and is designed to ensure that data is defined, harmonized and managed as fit for all its intended purposes. DCAM was created on a collaborative basis by the global members of the EDM Council as a standard set of evaluation criteria for measuring data management capability.

“DCAM delivers a structured framework for evaluating the specific requirements needed to ensure trust in data as a factor of input into business processes” says Michael Atkin, Managing Director of the EDM Council.  “The assessment methodology was created as part of the coordinated work of banks and other financial institutions to align data across multiple internal repositories in order to operate more efficiently and meet regulatory requirements for both transparency and risk aggregation.”

“Our DCAM Partners are using the methodology to help their clients evaluate the current state of their data management programs, identify gaps in current capabilities and prioritize their remediation activities” explained Mike Meriton, Head of Commercial Services for the EDM Council.  “Our DCAM Partners have demonstrated that they understand the fundamental tenets of data management and are authorized to use the DCAM methodology to evaluate data management capability.”
